Christine Piper is a writer and editor. Her first novel, After Darkness, won the 2014 The Australian/Vogel's Literary Award and was shortlisted for the 2015 Miles Franklin Literary Award. She won the 2014 Calibre Prize for her essay 'Unearthing the Past'. Her articles, reviews and short stories have been published in newspapers, magazines, journals and anthologies. She also works as a freelance copy editor. Born in Asia and raised in Australia, she now lives in New York.
